"Into the Land of Carmel"- A Retreat in the Carmelite Tradition
Carmelite Spiritual Center, Darien

July 15-20, 2018

The Carmelite tradition began with a small group of Christians coming together in a valley on Mount Carmel in Israel in the early 1200's.  They were pilgrims who wanted to live on holy ground.  It was their way of following Christ.  This retreat will reflect the life lived long ago on Mount Carmel, but with additional elements of instruction on tradition.  We will explore the origins of Carmel, our living tradition, and the nature of contemplation and prayer.  See FLYER for more information or call the Carmelite Spiritual Center at 630-969-4141.
