Artistry by Henrietta Tweedie (2010)
Saint Stephen Mission Church and Cemetery was founded in 1852 by our early settlers to DuPage County. It has been 100 years since a dedicated group has assembled at Saint Stephen for services. Many of the ancestors of those buried at Saint Stephen Cemetery are local residents of Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Winfield, and Warrenville. Please join us for a ceremony of remembrance officiated by Father Don McLaughlin of Saint Michael Church, Wheaton. Come enjoy the restored Illinois prairie grounds surrounding the cemetery and learn about the early history of our local area. Fellowship and desserts to follow.
Parking is available behind the Meyer Material Plant, 405 E. St. Charles Rd.
See the map below. St. Stephens Cemetery is just north of St. Charles Road and the Great Western Trail, and West of Main Place in Carol Stream (between Gary Ave. and Schmale Rd. (Main St. Wheaton).
